Black and White Bedroom Decor

The color scheme of black and white is a very popular one. Not just for the modern effect, but as a theme all it's own. These are simple colors to work with and can have a bright or dark effect depending on how you use them.

Starting off with a new decor, I always work with the largest pieces first. For the bedroom, that's the bedding including the quilt or comforter and the pillows. For a black and white theme, bold designs are a great way to go. It creates a very modern look.

Going next with any additional furniture that you want to add into your bedroom is logical. Bedside tables or nightstands are an easy way to add accent furniture without breaking your budget. Black finish nightstands are perfect in my opinion.

When working with a black and white theme, often a single bold accent color will really help. A color like pure red, hot pink, lime green, lemon yellow, even an aqua blue can set off the effect of your black and white theme.

So start with your largest pieces, like the bedding sets, then go with the next largest pieces like your nightstands and finish off with your smaller accent pieces. You will have a fully-developed black and white bedroom theme with just a bit of effort and expense on your part.
