Elegant Home Decorating Theme

Themes make the easiest way to begin thinking about decorating your home. One of my favorites is an elegant theme. Especially when you have rooms that are used less often. Like a living room or dining room. Even a guest bedroom can be an elegant theme.

You probably already know that I love easy decorating. And I get that with the accessories that I use to create a theme. For an elegant home decor theme, accessories and accent pieces are the perfect way.

Don't repaint. Just change your wall decorations. Add an elegant wall clock, a fine arts poster, even a beautiful fine arts decorative pillow on your couch or side chair.

The metalic colors are often considered the colors of elegance. Colors like gold, silver, or bronze. But you don't have to be limited to these. Think of the blues as elegant colors as well. Blue and silver make a stunning combination.

Patterns are often used in an elegant look. Swirls, fluer de lis, and damask are the most popular. Again, don't feel limited. Rose floral wall clocks can be very elegant looking.

The look of an elegant decorating theme is what makes you feel beautiful when you look at the room. I like to term this as the wow factor. When you walk into your finished room, you say wow. That means you have achieved the elegant look you want.
