Decorating Your Home with Autumn Accents

Autumn is approaching. The kids have gone back to school, the leaves are beginning to change colors, even the weather seems to be giving us a break from the hot, dry days of August. So it's time to start thinking about decorating your home for the new season.

So that's what we are talking about today. Those simple accents that you can add to your decor to welcome in the Fall season. I've never liked doing things the hard and expensive way. OK, call me lazy and cheap if you want, but I prefer to keep things easy and not blow my budget. That's what I do for my home decorating for Autumn.

Those simple accents are just trading out items you already have in your home for ones that remind you of the beautiful colors of Fall.

• Decorative Throw Pillows - add one to your couch, maybe a side chair, even on your bed.
• Wall Decals or Wall Clocks - the addition of something on the wall will bring the eye up to add to your decor.
• Garden Flags - use either outside or inside. Staked alongside your entry porch outside, or hang from a banister or wall inside.

Fall decor is made up of the bright and beautiful colors of changing leaves. The oranges, reds, even

browns make up most of the color scheme of Autumn decor.  But, you aren't limited to the look of changing leaves only.

Try mixing up some leaf motif items with some solid color items that will complement the total effect. Just choose the color scheme that works best with you current home decor. Then add in accents pieces or accessories that match.

We are talking simple here. The simple things that can make a big difference in the look of your home decor. So feel free to start changing your decor. Get ready for Autumn with new accents and accessories for your home.
