Creating a Vintage Bathroom with Accessories

Oh, yes, vintage is a favorite style for home decorating. Which makes it a favorite style for bathroom decorating as well. You probably already know that I love using accessories to create the look for a room. That's why the bathroom accessories are perfect to create a great new theme for a bathroom.

Vintage bathroom accessories are usually those that go on things. Like soap dispensers, toothbrush holders, little cups. Then add in a vintage bath mat or floor rug, a waste basket, even a shower curtain with hooks and you have a new theme. Yep, it's that simple. And that inexpensive.

You probably also know that I can't stand repainting, rewallpapering, or replacing anything big in my decorating. So I make use of what is already there. I pick the color schemes from the current paint or wall paper. If you are dealing with a bathroom that is already neutral colors, then the sky is the limit for you.

With creating a vintage look in your bathroom, just switching out the accessories can be enough. That's what I love about easy decorating. It's the little things that will make a huge difference.

Of course, if you want to repaint, you can. When going with a vintage bathroom look, choose warm colors like tans, beiges, off-whites. Metallic colors gold, silver and bronze also reflect a vintage look. Then have a great time picking out your bathroom accessories.
